What being rejected feels like? Awful! Yes it is bad, frustrating, and disgusting feeling.

Usually, most people tend to avoid negative feelings and experiences. Actually, I am one of them and I also believe that positive thinking is essential to achieving success. So, why am I writing about rejection?

We all face it!

Simply because we all face rejection one or many times in our lives. It is part of our real life and we need to know how to deal with it. Being followers of a recruitment website, I suppose that most of you have had many interviews before and have received some rejections. The more the opportunity is important to you, the more you get upset. Then, you may feel the lack of confidence or energy to try again.

Failure is a part of your journey to success

Do you know that the most common thing among all success stories is having failing experience at the beginning or in the middle of their way to achieve big goals. And do you know that this special experience is usually more motivating for them, to pursue their way to success, than anything else!

So, all you need to do is to dust dirt off your shoulders and step up. You can use these trials as steps to get you higher. This time you will get prepared for success and learn from your mistakes. Also, you will become more insistent to succeed and overcome challenges.

The following part of this article is simply telling you how to get prepared to succeed in your coming interview using a practical plan that will be useful even if you did not make it this time!

Develop your skills

While searching for new jobs, you may find some positions that you have not worked before. But, as you read the job description, you can see that you already have most of the required skills and you are passionate about this type of work. Why do not you broaden your horizons and knock new doors?!

However, you need to act as a planner not a dreamer. It is not enough to have the courage to apply for positions in other fields. Also, you need to make some effort to gain the lacking knowledge or skills.

First, search for your target position online and find the most common requirements among all job descriptions. Second, bring a blank sheet and write down a list of the skills you need to learn and the topics you need to read about before going for this interview. Last, do not forget to read about the company itself as usual.

Make better use of time

Most probably, the list will be bigger than you expected. What you need to do now is putting some extra effort to manage your time to be able to get fully prepared for the job in a short period. Learning all these things now will help you later in your job as you will save your future working time besides making your training period more successful. Also, you will be more confident at the interview and more convincing for your interviewer.

Think of other alternatives (out of the box)

As you know, it is not good to ” Put all your eggs in one basket and then watch that basket.” So, you will keep applying for other jobs that you are experienced in. In addition, you can think of ways to use the new skills you are learning in private business or related jobs. Actually, trying new things is always useful as any new thing you learn will be used someday. And remember that when chance comes out, it prefers ready people.

Read about others’ successes (inspiration and ideas)

Motivation, as defined by BusinessDictionary.com, is “Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal.”

One of the most effective ways to inspire your motivation to succeed is reading success stories. It also gives you hope that your dream is reality for others and can be that for you.

Success stories also inspire in you creative ideas that can succeed whatever strange they seem as many successful people came out with new ideas that people did not approve until they achieved great success.

It is going to take a while and you have to fight your way through that.

Keep Fighting!
