Early Beginning

It all started in the 2000’s, a high school student living in “Mansoura”

It took me five years to finish high school while they supposed to be taken in three years! So by default I became a failure person for family, friends and society. My final grades weren’t really high and promising for my own before to others, I got 58% and barely made it to some obscure private institute.

I started to pursue a major in Computer Science and due to the high fees of the private institution; my parents told me a man should be independent so I started to working very hard so I can pay my studying fees.

Almost getting there

After moving among several low income jobs I was able to join the IT field and I kept my self-motivated and promoted until I was specialized in Security field. Looking back in 2007 where certificates like CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) were so hard to obtain due to the limitation of the course resources and the fees of the certificate itself and a very limited number of people all over Egypt were holding it (a number that is not exceeding five persons) still, I was able to obtain it.

Striking Hot iron

After a long experience in the industry, I felt like I have a big knowledge that I could write a book, wait a minute, a book?! Why not? So I started to set-up myself and collect the information & resources needed and made a decision that I’ll write Biometric equipment such as fingerprint machines, iris recognition machines etc….

I started to take steps into actions , I talked to my professors in the institution to get some advice and help. In the beginning things didn’t seemed to be good but later on guess what? Things got worse. they refused to help me.

Not giving in

Despite the discrimination and frustration it took me months of searching, collecting  information, study cases and interviews. Finally, I wrote the book and published it on amazon in 2007 Naming it “Biometrics, what and how ?”

At this very moment I felt the rush of the glory in my blood for achieving the book publishing but the family and friends were having a totally different way of celebration, they were like “Okay, then? We hope that book can afford you a job and monthly salary!

Surprises Keep Coming in

Two months later after the book was published I was contacted by one of the organizers in the 6th security conference in Las Vegas – USA, He invited me as a guest speaker for my book. I felt like it was a message from God telling me that “Hey you, don’t you ever give up. You are walking the right path”.  I attended the conference and it was very successful.

After returning back to Egypt I found that the institution where I graduated was holding a conference to talk about education and innovation.

So I submitted my book to the organizing committee and I was accepted as a Guest speaker there. I went and made an impressive presentation about my book, and Met those who refused to help me back then, were really amazed by the book content and how it reflects the latest technology of the book back then.

Shifting Paths

Years passed and I decided to change career path leaving behind eight years of experience in the IT filed. the only option I had back then was the airlines field. I started as a check agent and was  promoted till I reached the training department. My manager wasn’t a big fan of my work; he kept me frustrated and pushed me down as he believes that I cannot be a good trainer.

However , I never let anything put me down. I started to improve myself by self-studying in the training field.

After seven years of experience in Training department at the airline company , I decided to do it again and write a book but this time it was about training and how to be an effective trainer from A to Z. It’s not about writing as a passion, it’s about doing something that will help others, sharing knowledge and experience.

So, now what’s the moral? Why would you care about this weird story? The answer is simple; you always have to set your mind on a target and never let anything stop you from achieving it. Life is not easy; people will not make it easy for you. You have to make it, failure is not an option.

This is my story “Moustafa El-hadidi” a true story with no dramatic effect, no magic stick or stardust that opens all the doors, I am just another normal person like everybody else who fights every single day for life, I am proud that despite all the hard times that passed and those who told me I will never do it ; I was able to prove many things to myself before proving it to them, and I created my own opportunity, so I could catch it . You can also do it, just set your mind on it and remember failure is not an option.

Great people aren’t born great, they suffered, passed through lots and lots of hard times, had lots of people whom made fun of their dreams etc. But above all they had faith, they believed in their dreams so we can say greatness is something you can’t gain, it can only be achieved.
